The reason coloring is important, at least to me, because it really encompasses the idea of playing and learning, the idea that this whole website was built upon. Below you’ll find hundreds of coloring pictures in a variety of categories, from cartoon and movie characters to animals and each letter in the alphabets etc.

In my series on Learning the Alphabet, I have a couple of posts about easy alphabet coloring pages featuring uppercase or capital letters, including basic letter printables like M is for Monkey, O is for Owl, or T is for Train etc. coloring pages. The first 2 posts (letter A through L, and letter M through Z) have received good number of viewers, which in turn has encouraged me to go on with this post and the next ones.

Shape Tracing and Coloring Practice Sheets

This post contains 30+ images to teach kids (at preschool and kindergarten ages) about shapes, including shape tracing worksheets, shape counting, shape recognition and coloring pages, and shape writing practice sheets. Kids will learn about naming, recognizing, tracing and coloring basic shapes like circles, squares, rectangles, ovals, diamond (rhombus) and a little harder shapes like star, crescent, pentagon, hexagon, octagon etc.

Coloring by Numbers From 1 to 10

Although my little daughter is already past the age of learning smaller numbers (from 1 to 10, or 1 to 20), sometimes she still ask me for some coloring-by-numbers printables. Maybe she wanted to remember the time that she started learning numbers, or maybe she just wanted to see where the random arrangement of numbers and color keys can take her.

I’ve either collected or created many of the coloring by numbers printables for her a while back and wanted to share them here with you or your little ones. Hope they like it!
