Archive: Printable coloring pages

Coloring pages were among the very first things I made for my kids. The reason coloring is important, at least to me, because it really encompasses the idea of playing and learning, the idea that this whole website was built upon. Below you’ll find hundreds of coloring pictures in a variety of categories, from cartoon and movie characters to animals and each letter in the alphabets etc.

Spring Coloring Pages

Being in lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic has made it seem like I’m losing my sense of time. I didn’t even know that Spring arrived a couple of days ago (March 19). And who cares about Spring when everyday all we hear is news about the pandemic. Coronavirus, lockdown, social distancing, shelter in place… etc have made normal life as we know it come to a stand still. Time, however, is still passing, so as adults let’s try to live our life as normal as we possibly can, so that kids won’t be negatively affected.

In that spirit, let’s celebrate Spring with these fun and colorful Spring coloring pages!

Frozen Movie Coloring Pages

Frozen movie coloring page

This is an update of an older post that I did more than two years ago about Frozen movie coloring pages. After watching the sequel Frozen II with the kids during the new year, although the main characters are the same with Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, I thought it would be nice to have updated coloring pages, especially of Elsa, who is my kids’ favorite character. It’s great to watch Anna, Elsa and their adventure again with the kids, especially during the winter. It’s cold but cozy at the same time. Hope you and your little ones like the movies and the coloring sheets below.

Santa Claus Coloring Pages

Santa Claus coloring page

Following the same theme of previous post about Snowman coloring pages, below are some Santa Claus coloring pages. Santa Claus wears red, of course, but it may not be a bad thing to let and even encourage your kids to give Santa a new outfit with different colors and see how it goes. Sometimes it’s good to think and do things differently and beautifully.

You can also find here more Christmas coloring pages. Happy Holidays!

Big Bird Coloring Pages

Big Bird Coloring page

One post took me to the others… Starting with the Rio coloring pages, then some bird coloring pages, and now some Sesame Street Big Bird coloring pages. I prefer giving my kids stuff that relates to what they’ve just seen or done to reinforce their learning while they still have interest in the subject matter. It’s natural if the kids prefer coloring Big Bird with yellow, but it may be useful to encourage them to challenge and change the rule and give Big Bird a new outfit in red or purple or whatever color they see fit. Let them have fun! So, here’s Big Bird to you!

The Lion King Coloring Pages

The Lion King character coloring sheets

I’ve just taken the kids to see the Lion King (2019 film) in the theater. It is a photorealistic computer animated remake of Disney’s traditionally animated 1994 film. Right after that, we watched the Lion King I (the original animation) and the Lion King II – Simba’s Pride at home again, and we had a really great movie day and night! While technology has made the 2019 release feel so real, watching the original animation did have something special, that’s hard to describe.

The kids still have a couple days left until their new school year starts, so I’ve made them some Lion King characters coloring pages, including images of Mufasa, Sarabi, Simba, Nala, Pumbaa, Timon, Rafiki and more. My kids like them and hope yours do, too.
