Learning the ABC and practice writing the alphabet is among the very first things that kids spend a lot of time with teachers and parents exploring, teaching and learning together. At this very early age, learning should be experienced through playing, practicing and repeating to make the whole process fun and easy for kids to absorb and remember.

Learning Letter A in the Alphabet

I’ve had various posts about learning the alphabet from coloring activities to tracing and handwriting practice sheets. Through observation and playing with my kids, I’ve come to realize that kids can get excited about new things quickly (learning the Alphabet in this case), but that excitement and the initial level of engagement can’t last long unless we can keep introducing some sort of new element to the materials every time. That’s why I’m introducing a series of coloring and handwriting practices for each letter in the alphabet in addition to the existing materials found in this subject, starting with letter A, of course!
