Learning the alphabet is among the first educational activities that most kids participate in preschool and kindergarten or even earlier, from watching the ABC songs on YouTube, or playing with the ABC building blocks, to coloring ABC sheets, playing with ABC flash cards and so on. At PlayingLearning.com, we present parents and teachers with a wealth of different activities, and a variety of choices for the same activity to keep children engaged in playing with and learning the ABC’s.

I’ve had various posts about learning the alphabet from coloring activities to tracing and handwriting practice sheets. Through observation and playing with my kids, I’ve come to realize that kids can get excited about new things quickly (learning the Alphabet in this case), but that excitement and the initial level of engagement can’t last long unless we can keep introducing some sort of new element to the materials every time. That’s why I’m introducing a series of coloring and handwriting practices for each letter in the alphabet in addition to the existing materials found in this subject, starting with letter A, of course!
